Thanks for Coming!!!

Tonight, we were joined for dinner at our studio with three other Photography Studios. Our dinner, catered in, consisted of Steak, Chicken, Green beans, Mashed Potatoes, Garlic Bread, Salad, and very Chocolate/Chocolate Cake. Also attending was a wedding planner that I have worked with several times in the past.

After dinner, the planner gave some interesting information about what she thought that today's brides are looking for in a photographer. Although, there may be many with the same ideas of what they want as far as the types of pictures, some may differ with the type of album they will receive. We try very hard to keep our collections simple and easy to understand. We know that weddings are a large investment and brides want to know that they are getting the most for their money.

Also, according to the planner, brides want a CD will full size files for printing their own images. Dennis and I now offer the files with every collection. She also said that customer service is very important. We try hard to answer our brides email as quickly as possible, and also to return phone calls in a timely manner.

It was really great have the time to visit with photographers that we usually just see at a UBA meeting, or a bridal show. We were all in jeans and shorts and just enjoyed getting to know each other better. Yvette

Kimberly and Steven married July 21, 2007

Kimberly and Steven had an incredible wedding surrounded by their friends and family. They took the non-traditional route of having all the pictures taken before the wedding. We have found that most couples that see each other prior to the ceremony are much more relaxed and have more time for pictures.

Signing the marriage licenses is a big part of the day. We have actually looked for the minister to get pictures of the couple signing to only find out he had already left. Thank goodness for cell phones!

You know, not everyone can decorate the car. It takes skill, preperation, attention to detail, and the most important part of all is finding the keys.

Every couple always look forward to the most important part of the wedding day. It's the reception of course! This group was wide open with a great DJ keeping them on the dance floor.

And of course..the dress!

7 7 7 Wedding

Yes, it was 7 7 7, and we had a great time. We were at a Church outside of Spartanburg with Robin and Daniel. Here is a picture of the horse and carriage ride. Note the speed limit sign in the picture.

The bride was also a big fan of french fries. Wonder where she likes to get them from?

Photography by Dennis & Yvette

Most people in this world enjoy a Saturday afternoon at the mall. Some people enjoy taking in a movie on a Saturday afternoon. Other people enjoy a relaxing afternoon watching a ballgame on TV and grilling steaks or hamburgers.

What about Dennis and Yvette? What do they enjoy doing on a Saturday afternoon?

Dennis teases me and tells people that he takes his wife out every Saturday night. Of course, he's talking about the weddings that we do. We get all dressed up, and we find ourselves at a Beautiful Church, a Fancy Hotel, or a unbelievable Castle. We visited the most gorgeous parks, stood at the top of a mountain, and walked on the most beautiful beaches. We have the best job in the world!!! That job is photographing your wedding, and we love it!

Some of the most exciting parts of a wedding is seeing bride's face as the bridesmaids and maid of honor fuss over you while making sure every detail is perfect. It's watching through my lens as the Bride's cries just before she walks down the aisle.

Dennis enjoys getting the guys outside, and through his lens he watches as they tease the groom about his last moments as a single man. Dennis watches through his lens as the future father-in-law gives some last minute advice on how to take care of his daughter.

Dennis and Yvette enjoy watching through their lens as you say your vows of commitment one to another. They watch for your first kiss through their lens, and feel the tenderness as you have your dance first dance as husband and wife. They enjoy watching through their lens those tender moments that others may not catch. We see these special moments because we know how long you have been planning to make this day one to remember.

So, on a Saturday afternoon, we want to spend our time with you capturing your memories. We notice the little things that others will miss. We want you to remember every detail through our eyes.
